"She looked in the mirror and saw a face that was not her own."
Carol was on her way to work when she was hit head-on by a drunk driver. In the 100 mph impact, her face was ripped apart from the skull and her facial bones were crushed to powder. She was in critical condition due to a traumatic brain injury.
After six surgeries to rebuild her face, Carol never looked the same. She learned that healthy self-esteem comes from within and shares this message with others.
